Pilings are installed beneath the home's concrete foundation. Before installing each piling, a 3-4 foot hole will be dug for the installation of each piling. To ensure that pilings reach the point of refusal, the soil will be hydrated with a 12 foot water wand. A hydraulic ram is used to drive the pilings into the soil using 20-25 Tons of Pressure.
Pier and Beam homes consist of concrete grade beams, wood beams, joists, and block & base. Repairs typically involve replacing rotted wood with pressure treated wood and re-shimming a tapering using steel shims.

Abacus Foundation repaired our foundation this past June. They were extremely professional and did an outstanding job with our foundation. After the repair was complete - we could not even see where our foundation was broke and the crew did a great job in cleaning up (saved our hedges too). We would highly recommend them to anyone looking for foundation repair. Also, Chris Gonzales and Shannon went above and beyond in helping us, answering any questions or concerns we had, very knowledgeable and always promptly returned our phone calls. Abacus Foundation is a truly professional foundation repair company with excellent service and personal care given to their clients. Thank you Abacus Foundation! The Cleveland Family
Abacus was extremely professional and prompt. Our initial contact was Chris Gonzalez whom had come out and done and estimate and had everything ready, including demo videos on what to expect. The price was roughly $1,000 less than what others were quoting. Shannon handled all of the paperwork and she was funny and courteous; very easy to speak to and work with. All of our questions were answered. They scheduled us quickly, within two weeks after first contact. Emilio and his crew worked on our home and they were professional and hardworking. They took very good care of the property and kept us informed each step of the way.
